Issa AyyadIssa Mohammad Ayyad, is 63 years old farmer with 20 extended family members (children and grandchildren). He owns 5 acres of land located at Al-Zaafran in Shyoukh village, north of Hebron area. The Israeli colony (settlement) of Asfar was constructed 800 meters close to his land. Issa and his family struggle on daily basis to protect their land from settlers attacks and settlement expansion’ plans.

In 2020, the land was planted with wheat and barley. Then the Israeli settlers attacked Issa’s field with their sheep and destroyed the crops. In 2021, setters also destroyed and uprooted 30 olive trees from his land.

In 2022, the OliveTree Campaign supported Issa and his family with 50 olive trees, sponsored by internationals, to help them maintain their land.
