rizq2019Rizq Ali Salah is a 55 years old farmer with 7 family members, who has a piece of 8 dunums (1 dunum = 1000 m2) of land in Al-Khader village, west of the Bethlehem area.

Rizq’s struggle with the Israeli authorities began in 1993 when they arrested him 'for security reasons' and gave him a life sentence. He was released with prisoners swap deal in 2013.

An Israeli colony (settlement) called 'Elazer' was constructed 0.5 km close to Rizq's land. Two dunums was confiscated from it. Still the Israeli settlers are seeking to confiscate the rest of it. The Israeli authorities have also put his land under the pretext of 'State Land' , and most of time they prevent him from accessing it.

In 2018, the Olive Tree Campaign supported Rizq with 75 sponsored olive trees to help him protect his land.
