Two Palestinian girls through the JAI, together with the JAI manager, visited the YMCA-YWCA related partner Rønningen Folk High School in Norway, from the 20th – 29th of October 2017, supported by the Karibu Foundation.
Their program at the school included getting to meet and chat with the students, communicate Palestine and youth life under occupation, giving talks and presentations about Palestine, JAI and it Olive Tree Campaign, and Kairos Palestine.
They also attended the Ten Sing Norway Show and participated at the Y Global (YMCA-YWCA Global Norway) Seminar on various issues.
The JAI manager, in turn, had meeting with the Director of Karibu, the new Y Global Staff, Y Global director and Palestine contact person on the JAI-Y Global future partnership, General Secretary of the Norwegian Student Christian Movement (SCM), General Secretaries of the National Councils of Churches of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Estonia where he shared and discussed with them the NCCOP Open letter and what is expected from them as churches.
Beside the students' exchange and communicating Palestine, some of the other outcomes were that Rønningen school decided so support the Olive Tree Campaign with 85 olive trees this year and the SCM Norway decided to reactivate the exchange activities with the JAI through receiving and sending student delegations.
