The JAI has organized a trip in Palestine for it two partner schools Dronninglund Efterskole and Midtsjællands Efterskole, from the 4th to the 11th of March 2016. The trip comes as part of ongoing students exchange program the JAI has with the schools, together with DanishChurch AID (DCA).
The trip included meetings, sessions, interactions, reflections with Palestinian JAI-trained students, where the their schools and homes were visited by the Danish students, as well as planted olive trees together at a threatened fields in Al-Khader village, south-west of Bethlehem, which the Danish schools’ last year students have sponsored / fundraised for.
Guided tours were organized to witness the Israeli apartheid wall, colonies (settlements), settlers' bypass roads, threatened and confiscated lands, inside the refugee camp, Hebron old city, Jerusalem ICAHD (Israeli Committee Against House Demolition) tour and old city, Jericho YMCA and YWCA, historic and religious sites.
Presentations were given, or organized to be given by other organizations / groups, on the situation in Hebron by the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH), Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign, schools and others.
The trip also followed the schools reception of 2 Palestinian student and JAI staff each at their schools, for one week in November 2015.
