A training session was organized on Thursday the 28th of March 2019 for 60 female and male students from St. (Mar) Afram Syriac Private Secondary School Bethlehem.
The session started on anti-tax movement in Beit Sahour in the late 1980s, as one of the clear history and background of the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) movement in Palestine, and how boycotting Israel is a non-violent resistance mechanism on the local and internal levels, towards ending the Israeli occupation and hold Israel accountable for international law and human rights. Then the BDS campaign as the wider Palestinian civil society call, with its various economic, cultural, sport and academic boycotts.
Then the students were introduced to the danger of normalization activities and programs with Israeli organizations, groups and entities. Students asked various questions and were very interactive and interested.
