Two JAI-trained Palestinian teenagers, Salina from the Dheisheh refugee camp and Layan from Al-Khader village, accompanied by a JAI staff member, visited two partner Efterskoles in Denmark—Nørre Nissum Efterskole and Dronninglund Efterskole—from September 23 to October 1, 2024.
They spent 3-4 days at each school, engaging with students through games, quizzes about Palestine, and cultural activities like teaching Dabke dance steps and preparing Palestinian meals. They also gave presentations and answered questions in various classes, both at the host schools and in nearby schools, sharing their experiences of life under occupation, with a focus on the current situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
The aim of these visits was to foster student exchange, raise awareness among Danish students about the Palestinian cause, and strengthen their advocacy and fundraising efforts, including support for the Olive Tree Campaign.
