From the 1st to the 8th of December 2019, 6 JAI-trained Palestinian students, together with 2 JAI staff members, had programs at 3 partners Danish schools, namely: Nørre Nissum Efterskole, Dronninglund Efterskole and Midtsjællands Efterskole, with 2 Palestinian students at each school.
The Palestinian students trained and selected were from Al-Khader village Girls Public School, Lajee Center in Aida Refugee Camp, and the Shepherds High School in Beit Sahour.
Their programs at the Danish schools included giving various talks and presentations at the partner school, and at some other surrounding schools and high schools, on their life as teenagers under occupation in Palestine, how is their daily life affected by the Israeli measures, their schools, families, towns, villages and refugee camps.
Palestinian cultural evenings were also organized at the schools during the week, and some Palestinian students gave music performances on the Oud and Qanoun at some other schools, to reflect the Palestinian culture.
The Palestinian students had interaction sessions and classes with the Danish students, especially the Global ones, or Citizenship / Teenager ones at the various schools, with games, sports, outdoor exercises, and homes visits and overnights.
The accompanying JAI staff also gave various presentations and talks at the 3 Danish schools, including geopolitical presentations, about the JAI and the Olive Tree Campaign and Christmas in Palestine.
The Global students at the 3 Danish schools in turn are planned to have their week programs in Palestine, with the JAI in February and March 2020, where their programs will include further international with JAI students, plan olive trees together, visits to their schools and homes.
