Few days ago, the JAI started the training for 25 Palestinian teenagers, from the Girls Secondary School of Al-Khader village, Lajee Center in Aida Refugee Camp, and the Shepherds Orthodox School in Beit Sahour. The first session started with introduction to and ice-breaking among each other, while it is planned to have a weekly session until end of the summer vacation.
The training will tackle their presentation skills, in communication Palestine and the Palestinian cause to international youth and teenagers, main issues related to the history of the Israeli colonization and current measures on the ground (wall, settlements, refugees ...etc.), as well as the local and international campaigns against the occupation, including the JAI's advocacy work, Olive Tree Campaign, and the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign and anti-normalization.
These teenagers are also to take part in the exchange programs the JAI has with 3 Danish Efterskoles, where some of the Palestinian students will be selected to visit the Danish schools this fall, and all of them will be meeting and interacting with the Danish students when they visit Palestine with the JAI in February-March 2020.
