On Tuesday 21st of February, the Israeli occupation forces uprooted and stole 100 olive trees from the land of the Palestinian farmer Omar Judeh Sbeih, wo received them through the Keep Hope Alive - Olive Tree Campaign last month, sponsored by internationals. The Israeli colony (settlement) of Elazer was constructed 50 meters close to Omar's field, which threatens him and his family presence in it, although he owns his 2.5 acres of land and has all the official property ownership documents. Hence, he was not able to attend it in the past few years.
Having received the sponsored trees this year, he was encouraged to plant them as to maintain his land. The Israeli authorities claimed it is an 'Israeli State' property land now, and he has no right to plant it or access it anymore! Omar is now struggling in the Israeli court and police to restore it, hence be able to re-plant it.
