A 2-day program in Palestine was organized by the JAI, on the 16th and 18th of September 2022, for a group of 31 students + 3 teachers from partner Danish Silkeborg Højskole.
On Friday they 16th, a field work was organized for them, where they helped some Palestinian farmers pick their tomato and bell peppers at their threatened fields, due to the built up Israeli colony (settlement) of 'Efrata' adjacent to their fields. In the afternoon, they had a JAI's tour where parts and some of the Israeli apartheid wall and colonies were shown and explained to them. This was followed by a tour inside Dhaisha refugee camp, where they got introduced to the Palestinian refugees issue and hard life inside camp.
On Sunday the 18th, they had their day in Hebron, started with a visit to the a ceramic and glass factory, where they witnessed the hand-made production. This was followed by a JAI tour down in the old city, where they were shown and explained about the Israeli colonies (settlements), closures, checkpoints, and street closed for Palestinians (Shuhada street), as well as inside the 'divided' Ibrahimi Mosque (Tombs of the Patriarchs), before they had lunch at a Palestinian threatened family's house in the Shuhada street.
