adnan salah farmer2018Adnan Salah is a 67-year old farmer. Together with his 8 family members he ownes 14 dunums of land (1 dunum = 1000 m2) in the agricultural part of Al-Khader village, south of Bethlehem. His land is threatened by the expansion of the settlers' cluster 'Gush Etzion' which is currently under construction.

In 1976, the Israeli government confiscated six dunums of Adnan’s land for 'military purposes'. They then constructed part of the 'Efrata' settlement - within the 'Gush Etzion' cluster - on his land. He thus cultivates the remaining 8 dunums of his land. However, his plants and trees are regularly uprooted by Israeli settlers.

In February 2017, the Olive Tree Campaign supported Adnan with 80 sponsored olive trees. The day after the trees were planted, the Israeli army came and uprooted them to construct water pipelines for the settlers through his land.
