GT2017 2tThe JAI has arranged and hosted a trip, under their Globetrotters program, in Palestine for 10 youth from the YMCA-YWCA Denmark' Palestine Network, together with 6 Palestinian JAI youth.

Their program included games and interactions with Palestinian youth and overnight at their homes for a night. It also included JAI' guided tours into various sites and cities to witness the occupation measures and Palestinian life under, including the wall, settlements, bypass road, checkpoints, refugee camp, Jerusalem old city and with the Israeli Committee Against House Demolition (ICAHD), Hebron old city with its closures and Shuhada street.

This is in addition to various religious and historic sites in Bethlehem, Hebron, Jerusalem and Jericho, with a Palestinian Dabka Folklore Dance performance, to get introduced to the Palestinian heritage and culture.

GT2017 3tA field work and help with one of the Olive Tree Campaign farmers' family was organized for the visitors, as well as a visit to the remains of a Palestinian house that was demolished by the Israelis. While on another day the JAI organized a hiking trip for them into Al-Makhrour and Battir areas west of Bethlehem.

The program also included introduction to the YMCA facilities in Beit Sahour and the YWCA center in Jericho, besides a session with the youth leaders from the YMCA Beit Sahour. This is in addition to presentations on the Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions (BDS) Campaign, the JAI and its Olive Tree Campaign, situation in Hebron by the Temporarily International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) team, and about refugees life at the camp by Lajee Center.
