In the last meeting of the Middle East Regional Committee of the WSCF held in Cairo , Egypt in August 27-28  the Palestinian Youth Ecumenical Movement (PYEM) was accepted as a full member in the Committee.

The PYEM which works under the umbrella of the JAI has been in cooperation and coordination with the WSCF since 2007. During which tens of Palestinian took part in relevant regional activities and even international ones. As the founder of the PYEM Nidal Abuzuluf, the JAI Manager represented the Movement in that meeting. Following the  presentation made about the movement's history and mission, the facts around it and the way it functions under the Israeli military Occupation the Committee voted in favor of its membership by 15 votes to 1 abstention  .

This Membership entitles the PYEM to have its input in all the regional and global issues that come under the mission of the WSCF and will for sure contribute to having more interest and much focus on the Palestinian youth concerns and aspiration as well as the JAI mission.
